EL Paper 1 on 14 October

Dear parents,

Please take note that the boys have practised the appropriate vocabulary words needed for the exam. Please revise with them the first draft that was written in the EL writing exercise book. The second draft was written on their own. Please remind them to write at least 5 sentences that link. Also please remind them that they have to write the story in 1 paragraph. They are not to write a new sentence on a new line. They need to continue from the previous sentence.

They will be given 4 pictures to write about. To score well, they need to write 2 sentences for each picture that links to the others and give a conclusion at the end of the story. For example, 'It was an enjoyable day for Tom! He will never forget it!' or 'What an eventful day!' or 'It was the day that she would never forget!' or 'It was a memorable day!' In total, the number of sentences is about 10.

Thanks!
